Partner for the Life Science sector, Giorgio Lauro is co-leader of Amrop’s Global Life Science Practice.
His career in the Healthcare Industry covers more than 18 years. He moved to Baxter in 1990 as Product Manager and began his International Marketing activities assuming full responsibilities as European Project Leader. In 1993 he was promoted to Marketing Manager and in 1995 to Sales & Marketing Manager. Following the spin-off process from Baxter in 1998 he moved to Allegiance Healthcare as Country Director Italy, totally involved in the start up of the new Italian subsidiary and receives international honors as "Country of the Year" for two consecutive years. Following the acquisition of Allegiance from Cardinal Health ($87 billion healthcare industry), Giorgio achieved full responsibility as Marketing Director Europe and the following year was promoted to Business Unit Director Europe. After his International experience, Giorgio was named Managing Director and President of the Board of Directors for Cardinal Health Italy and for Surgitech Italy (Cardinal Health Group).
Giorgio holds a degree in Economics and is founder-partner and Board Member of the Phoenix Stem Cell for Human Life Foundation. He has consolidated experience in General Management, Marketing & Sales and is focused in the Healthcare sector, nationally and internationally, in particular in the Pharmaceutical Industry for Medical Devices and for Healthcare services.
