Jan is a Partner in Amrop’s Amsterdam office and chairman of Amrop’s European Professional Services Practice Group. Additionally, Jan is a member of Amrop’s Global Real Estate Practice Group and its global Practice Groups Financial Services, Professional Services and Automotive & Industrial. Jan worked 17 years at ABN AMRO Bank where he held several staff and line positions. He left the bank in 1987 as Regional Director to join the Executive Board of Chemco NV, at that time one of the worldwide leaders in graphic arts materials and (high-tech) equipment. Jan joined Amrop as Partner in September 1992. Jan holds a Masters Degree in Economics from Groningen University, The Netherlands. Jan has served a large number of clients in the Professional Services sector (including IT), the Financial Services sector and the High Tech industry. He also has deep experience in the contractors industry, the real estate sector, healthcare and the FMCG/retail industry. Jan conducted many searches for senior financial positions and (non-)executive/ (supervisory) board positions across all market segments.
