Christian G. Hirsch

Christian G. Hirsch is a Managing Partner of AmropCivitas and a Core Member of Amrop's Global Digital Practice.

Christian has specialized on advising clients in all segments of media & entertainment, e-commerce and digital business for a period of more than 20 years. Besides working for international corporations and large privately owned companies he has built a strong focus on searching for portfolio firms of private equity companies.

In addition, Christian has broad experience in searches for Board Services, e.g. Members of the Advisory Board. Being a certified PI Analyst he supports companies in building strong and effective management teams.


Christian became part of Amrop Civitas in July 2018 as a Managing Partner of Civitas International, the firm he had joined in 1998 as a Managing Partner  and Global Head Media & Entertainment. As a core member of Amrop's Digital Practice, Christian closely collaborates with his international colleagues and can provide a global coverage of the relevant candidates.

Previously Christian worked as Managing Director for Burda Media for a period of 6 years being responsible for different magazines as well as for the first digital business models developed in this company. Previously he had been Engagement Manager/ Project Manager at McKinsey& Co., Inc.. Being part of the German office in Dusseldorf as well as of the EuroCenter Brussels he served clients in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry and in Media as well in Germany as in different European countries such as in Denmark, France and the Netherlands. He began his professional career in Marketing with Unilever, where he last held the position of a Brand Manager.

Having completed studies of Business Administration at the Universities of Cologne and Nuremberg he keeps on collaborating closely with the European School of Business and Law and has been serving as Member of the Advisory Board of the EBS Economic Symposium for more than 18 years.
