Julie helps Fortune 500 companies and other organizations build high-performance teams that increase business success and ROI. She has worked with industry-leading companies and thousands of senior executives to provide a full range of services related to acquiring, retaining, and developing top talent. As an advisor to CEOs and an industry thought leader, she also serves as an expert source for national broadcast, print and online media outlets.
She launched JBK in 2003 as a firm that defies industry norms by treating clients, candidates and employees with deep respect, and she has established the company as one that competes with the biggest in its field, ranked among the nation's top 500 women-owned businesses and top 10 innovators in diversity. Among many honors, JBK has earned recognition from Working Mother magazine as one of the country's 25 Best Women-Owned Companies and, for four consecutive years, has earned a spot on the Inc. 500|5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies.
Julie is an expert on creating more effective and inclusive workplaces, and speaks regularly in forums such as the Fairleigh Dickinson Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship, the Rutgers Business School, the Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity, the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association, and the BioNJ CEO Summit.
In addition to her work at JBK, Julie brings her commitment to women and diversity to her many volunteer activities. She serves on Howard University's John H. Johnson School of Communications Board of Visitors, is a founding member of the Bergen County (NJ) chapter of Women United in Philanthropy, is a past-President of the Metro chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association and is an active member of BioNJ. She also has served on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment (IACPR) and on the Girl Scout Council of Bergen County. In her spare time, she raises money for charities including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, GoodGrief, Table To Table and The Women's Health and Counseling Center.
Julie earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island, where she minored in Marketing.
