Amrop Announces New Global Board Members

The Amrop Partnership is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Board Members to its global Executive Board.

Amrop welcomes Henrik Elsig Andersen (Denmark), Hideaki Furuta (Japan) and Sophie Vergnas (Russia), elected to the Executive Board. In addition, Jimmy Chen (China) was named Vice Chair Asia Pacific, while Federico Cuneo (Peru) was named Co-Vice Chair Americas.

"Each brings to the Board significant business knowledge and expertise, and a rich history of contribution and collaboration across the Amrop partnership," said Mr. Dade. "This announcement once again reaffirms the truly global nature of the Amrop organization and I very much look forward to working with our newest Board members."

Henrik Elsig Andersen is a Partner at Amrop in Denmark. Previously he was Managing Director at Momentum Consulting, cooperating closely with Amrop in leadership assessment and coaching. Mr. Andersen has also worked as a Business Psychologist in the Danish Defense and as a Senior Consultant at another global consultancy company. At Amrop, Mr. Andersen works exclusively on leadership assessment, evaluation, coaching and leadership development training with both private and public sector clients. He holds a M.Sc. in Business Psychology from the University of Copenhagen.

Hideaki Furuta founded Amrop Jomon Associates in 1996, a pioneer in the Japanese consulting market. Mr. Furuta's earlier career includes a number of years spent at another international executive search organization, eight years at Nomura Securities in underwriting and brokerage management, and ten years in industrial sales with Kobe Steel, based in Tokyo, Kobe, and the Middle East. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Tokyo.

Sophie Vergnas is Managing Partner of Amrop in Russia. Before joining Amrop in 2001, she worked for ten years in General Management positions in Russia for multinational companies (Groupe SEB, The Pillsbury Company) after several years of experience in sales and finance for Xerox Group. In addition to her Board role, Ms. Vergnas is also a member of Amrop's Regional Committee for Central and Eastern Europe. Ms. Vergnas' consulting work focuses on clients in the Oil & Gas, Financial Services, FMCG and Life Sciences sectors. Ms. Vergnas belongs to the French Commercial Advisory Committee in Russia and has been awarded the order Chevalier de L'ordre du Mérite. She is a graduate from ESCP Business School in Paris.
