Brussels & Nairobi

AMROP EXTENDS ITS AFRICA REACH WITH NEW KENYAN OFFICE, AMROP EAST AFRICA

With its base in Nairobi, Amrop’s newest office represents a significant move in East Africa, serving clients across the region. Operating as a subsidiary of Amrop Landelahni, South Africa, the firm is well placed to work with MNC’s as well as local businesses, and contribute to important capacity building and infrastructure development across the region.

Veronica Anam-Waiyaki, Managing Partner of Amrop East Africa, said, “We are delighted to join forces with Amrop’s global partnership. While localization across the African continent is important, it is vital that we have strong global links as East Africa continues its rapid development. Our synergies with Amrop’s forward looking strategy and culture were clear from the start.”

Veronica has more than 20 years’ experience in leading the human capital function in large international organizations in Kenya and Nigeria. As a director of Human Capital Synergies (HCS) Africa Ltd, Kenya, she has provided strategic advice to boards of directors and trustees as well as senior management, advising on talent acquisition and retention, and designing and implementing human resources policies and processes. Veronica has an MBA from Alliant University, San Diego, USA, and a BSc in Business Administration from USIU Nairobi, Kenya.

“Having operated widely across the continent and internationally, Veronica understands the challenges faced by companies in optimizing human capital to achieve organizational goals,” said Sandra Burmeister, Managing Partner of Amrop Landelahni. “She has a track record of providing high quality advisory services to clients in key markets such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda and Ethiopia.”

“Nairobi is becoming a location of choice with multinationals,” said José Leyún, Amrop CEO. “The opening of our East Africa office is part of our expansion strategy across the African continent. We look forward to working together with Veronica and her team.”

The new Nairobi office brings Amrop’s EMEA footprint to 47 offices.
