A graduate in Law and MBA, Andrew has spent more than 20 years working in Consulting, Professional Services management, Human Capital management advisory and Executive Search. Immediately prior to joining Amrop, he spent 2.5 years with a major global Search, Recruitment Process Outsourcing and People Advisory firm, leading its Automotive practice group in Asia. In this role, he completed high level searches in General Management, Finance, Operations, Engineering and Sales & Marketing, working closely with Boards and Executive Team members in the Automotive components, OEM and retail segments of the value chain.
Andrew's earlier career included 5 years with Touche Ross Management Consulting, and 17 years with KPMG, where he finished his career 'double-hatting' roles as Deputy COO for the Asia Pacific Region, and also Head of Automotive for both China and Asia. In this former COO role, he was a member of KPMG's Regional Board and Executive Committee.
He has spent the last 13 years working in Shanghai and Hong Kong and, before this, also lived in the UK, Russia, Singapore and Bangkok.
His specific interests lie not only in addressing a client's search needs, but also in taking a long term view of succession issues, organizational effectiveness, competencies for leadership and, in particular, aligning talent strategy with business strategy.
