Aiga Arste-Avotina, Managing Partner of Amrop Latvia, has been listed in Forbes magazine's rating of Latvia's most successful businesswomen.
Aiga is a newcomer to the Forbes rankings and achieved her #23 rank thanks to the successful results of her business and her influence in the Latvian business community.
Aiga believes that the most important thing in business is persistence. She commented, "If you feel that something needs to be done, it has to be done – there can be no giving up. You don't need to think about what others say. A business has to be built with people who energize and inspire you. It's healthy for people to be different, but be able to join together for a single purpose."
Forbes magazine has developed and published its rating of Latvia's 25 most successful businesswomen for a second year, determining which entrepreneurs and business leaders have fared best in their businesses. To determine the ranking, Forbes evaluated the financial indicators of the companies headed by entrepreneurs and managers, including their sector, size and growth rates, the influence of the businesswomen and their visibility in the media, as well as their personal wealth, including capital owned. In all, the businesswomen were rated on 12 criteria.
