Met genoegen informeren wij u dat Ewout Vis per 16 juni 2025 is gestart als Chief Data Officer a.i. bij BNG
BNG (Bank Nederlandse Gemeenten) is een Nederlandse bank die zich richt op het financieren van de publieke sector. De bank is eigendom van de Nederlandse staat en decentrale overheden zoals gemeenten en provincies. De missie van BNG is het maken van maatschappelijke impact door te investeringen in sociale woningbouw, gemeenten, zorg, onderwijs, infrastructuur en duurzaamheid. BNG speelt een belangrijke rol in het realiseren van maatschappelijke doelen en draagt zo bij aan een duurzamer en leefbaarder Nederland.
Ewout Vis is een senior leider op het gebied van data, analytics, AI en marketing, met meer dan 25 jaar ervaring, waarvan 16 jaar in de bancaire sector (ING, ABN AMRO en de Volksbank). Hij kent de financiële sector van binnenuit en weet hoe je data effectief inzet binnen die context. Hij is succesvol in het aanjagen en realiseren van verandering, het creëren van concrete business impact op basis van data & analytics en het transformeren van organisaties naar een datagedreven manier van werken. Dankzij zijn bewezen staat van dienst in zowel business, data als IT, vervult hij een essentiële brugfunctie tussen deze domeinen.
In zijn rol als interim Chief Data Officer zal Ewout onder andere de datastrategie en -visie aanscherpen, de toekomstige dataketen binnen de ‘to be’-organisatie van BNG ontwerpen en de data roadmap opstellen en aanjagen.

He has deep, hands-on knowledge of the financial industry and understands how to leverage data effectively within that context. Ewout has a strong track record in driving and delivering change, generating tangible business impact through data and analytics, and transforming organizations toward a data-driven way of working. With his proven experience across business, data, and IT, he plays a critical bridging role between these domains.
In his role as interim Chief Data Officer at BNG, Ewout will refine the bank’s data strategy and vision, design the future data value chain within the target operating model, and lead the development and execution of the data roadmap.
