Family businesses are a core focus of Nikie’s work. As the former CEO of his family’s manufacturing company, he understands first-hand the dynamics between family, ownership, governance and management—and how these influence leadership, succession and decision-making.

Nikie’s sector focus is on (high-tech) manufacturing and industry, as well as related sectors such as industrial and business services, automotive, food production and agritech, and construction.

Drawing on his earlier career as a management consultant and lawyer, Nikie also conducts senior leadership searches in professional services, including consulting, legal and accounting firms. His experience in both operational and advisory environments enables him to understand how leadership needs to adapt to different organisational contexts and challenges.

Nikie holds master’s degrees in Private Law and Public and Company Law from Utrecht University. He is also a member of the Nederlands Gilde van Familiebedrijfspecialisten (NGFB), a network of advisers specialising in family businesses.
