Ulrich Beckendorff

Ulrich is a founding partner of Amrop's 2.0 Initiative in Germany, Managing Partner of Amrop's Duesseldorf Office and core member of Amrop's global Industrial Practice.

Ulrich spent several years in Management Consultancy before he moved into Executive Search in 1998, working initially for MSL Management Selection, later as a freelance Executive Search and Management Consultant in Dusseldorf. He joined Amrop in 2010. Ulrich headed Amrop's Global Industrial Practice in 2013 and 2014, and resumed the lead in 2015. He also used to be a member of Amrop's University Team, which designs and implements advanced learning for all Amrop employees.

Ulrich has more than 25 years of experience in the consultancy world, of which 18 years in Executive Search. His consulting practice encompasses executive search for top management levels in Automotive, Engineered Products & Systems Engineering, Cleantech, Transport & Logistics, Retail and Professional Services. 

Ulrich also provides consulting services for executives in change situations. His work focuses on intervention and success assurance in management crises, management audit, establishing systematic management development strategies, designing and introduction of efficient business processes and lean corporate structures.

Ulrich is a person with integrity which is highly valued both by clients and colleagues. He is said to "Walk the Talk".

Ulrich studied Mechanical Engineering, majoring in Production Technology at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität in Hannover, graduating in 1984. He then completed a Ph.D. in Engineering at the Production Technology Centre Hannover with a dissertation on knowledge-based production control. Ulrich is an honorary Professor at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover.

His personal interests include motorbikes, cars, skiing, and travel.
