Christos Athanassas is Founder and Managing Partner of Amrop in Greece.
An engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit, he has cooperated with over 300 companies, has placed well over 1,000 executives and has contributed to the start-up of many Greek and multinational firms in Greece and internationally.
He began his career in Executive Search in 1981, establishing one of the first executive search firms in Greece and leading it to leadership position in the market. In 1999 the firm joined the global Amrop network.
In his previous career, Christos worked with a large industrial food and packaging company as General Manager.In the course of his extensive career in Executive Search, Christos has served a large number of local and international clients in the Manufacturing, Industrial, Energy, Telecom/Technology, FMCG, Retail and Life Sciences industries as well as Government organizations. He has contributed to the start-up of varied multinational firms in Greece and has provided consultancy services on organizational studies and processes for start-ups, management audits and executive coaching.
He is a member of Amrop's Energy & Utilities, Family Business, Professional Services, Life Sciences and Automotive & Industrial Practices, and, plays an active role in business development and cross-border searches within the Group.
After 34 years in executive search, Christos faces each new day with the same passion as on his first day in the business: a passion to find the solution that is right for each client and for each candidate's career development; passion to be a trusted and respected Partners to clients and candidates alike.
Christos has a Masters in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and speaks Greek and English.
He is married with two daughters and enjoys traveling and cultivating wine.
